STYLE ME PRETTY DESTINATION

HONOLULU WEDDING

If this wedding isn’t the epitome of a romantic Hawaiian wedding, then I don’t know what is! This adorable couple planned their big day all the way from Brooklyn, New York, although you’d never know because each and every detail is so seamless and works so well with the natural surroundings. The lush florals by Yvonne Design are no doubt stealing the show on the tablescapes, but I must say, the mercury glass is definitely holding its own. Steven Lam Photography was on hand to capture each and every beautiful moment and there’s so much more inspiration in the full gallery.

DAILY CANDY

LA'S SNAPPIEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Having Shot everything from editorial for Glamour to movie posters for Lion's Gate, Steven Lam realized the need for a great wedding photographer when he and his wife-to-be started looking around for someone who could match their clean aesthetic and modern sensibility. His style is a mix of candid and fun and beautifully composed shots, and he's happy to travel to destination weddings, as well. (Duh. Who wouldn't?) - DailyCandy.com

UTTERLY ENGAGED

ECO CHIC WEDDING

In times like these, we realize how important it is to be extremely useful, recycle and reuse our waste, as well as pay attention to savvy budgets. This month's featured couple took all these into mind while planning their special day.

Quickly after meeting, Alisa and Scott knew that they were meant to spend their lives together. An engagement soon followed, via a proposal during one of Scott's cycling contests, and a wedding was in the works. See article.

A GREEN WEDDING IN PASADENA

A Global Wedding in June Lake

Kyle Gladden admits he’s a big-picture type of guy -- his philosophy on wedding planning was to “get a place, buy some flowers, get some drinks, and throw a party!” Fortunately, his fiance Charlene Ariansen is more detail-oriented. A graphic designer, Char chose, with Kyle’s help, the most beautiful setting she could find, developed a theme that included various shades of green (her favorite color), and then designed the invitation in vibrant hues. The Bride Charlene (Char) Ariansen, 26, graphic designer The Groom Kyle Gladden, 25, teacher. See article.

During Sara and Carl’s three-year courtship, every date found them in a different part of the globe. So it’s no surprise that they took an international approach to their July wedding at Double Eagle Resort in June Lake. From the get-go, Sara and Carl did not have a traditional relationship. The two met during a Bible study course in New Zealand that led to outreach/mission work in Mongolia for Sara and placed Carl in Bangladesh. After a whirlwind courtship that saw its own share of frequent flyer miles and baggage claims, Carl fittingly proposed to Sara in LAX airport during a visit to her home state for a cousin’s wedding. The two soon started planning their own nuptials from New Zealand (with much help from TheKnot.com!). See photo. See article.
